Being Content

Here are some pictures of Elise that either me or Kim have gotten with our cell phones recently.

I love this one.  She had just finished a bottle I think and was laying with her mommy

She looks so happy in this picture.  I love it when she smiles.  It sounds kind of sappy, but this kind of thing really does brighten our days and makes us feel all warm and fuzzy inside

This look was kind of funny.  She's just chillin with her ole dad

This is how she sleeps when she's sleeping good.  She throws her arms back and drifts off into baby dreams.  I don't think a baby could get any cuter

See the Resemblance?

I was looking through pictures recently and saw one of Kim and me being goofy at Alpine Bible Camp last summer.  Then, I realized that we had a picture of Elise where I think she is yawning, but it was funny how they looked similar.  By the way, I have no idea what we were thinking when we took the picture...

Car Seat and First Stroll

Here is Ellie's first car ride.  This is on the way home from the hospital.  She cried at first when we put her in, but she eventually stopped and just went to sleep.

We wanted to take her for a quick walk in her stroller yesterday and it was a nice day so we got everything together just in time for her to tell us she was hungry!  So, Kim fed her a bottle before we took off.

I loved this picture.  She had a smackerel of milk on her lips.

We had to run by my office to grab a couple of things so we snapped this picture of mom and Elise in the church parking lot.

Elise Maurene McKendree

Wow, what an experience!  To say that it was a long day today is an understatement.  It was really a day full of emotions.  I was kind of on the edge of my seat most of the day, but Kim was pretty calm and collected.  Not until the very end of the delivery did she really show the pain she was feeling.  She did awesome though.  The nurses we had were amazing too.  I give crazy props to those ladies because they pretty much waited hand and foot on Kim.

The coolest thing ever was actually seeing Elise finally come out.  It was amazing.  When she took her first breath it was unreal.  We're proud parents to a beautiful baby girl.

She was 7lbs 3oz and 22 in long.
