My Wife, The Artist

Kim doodled this little masterpiece in Sunday School the other morning. She always gets a little thing of milk on Sunday mornings and was trying to draw the cow on the label. She showed it to me and then she proceeded to laugh uncontrollably. You gotta love those times. Poor "Sugar" needs to see the eye doctor I think..

The Joys of the [Post] Christmas Season :)

So, Kim and I needed to run by Wal-Mart last night and went to look at pots and pans at one point. While we were there, we saw this...(you may have to click on it to zoom and everything clearly.)

Ahhh, nothing better than buying a product that still has the tag with someone else's name on it haha. To be fair though, I don't blame "mom/Tammy" or "Stan, Hannah, and Lucas" for this one.

Scripture...As We Live It

Alan Knox, on his blog, "The Assembling of the Church," has a funny thing he does every so often called Scripture...As we live it. He takes a verse from the Bible and does a little editing in a humorous way. I thought his latest one was pretty funny, but unfortunately, I can't (or I guess I should say that I don't know how) to make words have the strike through feature which is kind of a primary part of these things. So, I'll just post the link and you can check out his site.

Christianese

LOL My favorite parts:

"Learn popular phrases such as 'uh-huh' and 'mmm..mmm..mmm'"

"Learn why other religions 'refuse to laugh'"

Star Wars!

Okay, let me preface this video by saying something...Benny Hinn does some pretty awful manipulation of people and I find that very sad. To keep my judgmental thoughts about him aside, I'll leave it there. But, I thought the video was genius and hilarious with the light saber scenes.

Mama's Bible

I thought this joke was pretty humorous... :)

Four brothers left home for college, and they became successful doctors and lawyers and prospered. Some years later, they chatted after having dinner together. They discussed the gifts they were able to give their elderly mother who lived far away in another city.

Milton, the first said, "I had a big house built for Mama."

Marvin, the second said, " I had a hundred thousand dollar theater built in the house."

Michael, the third said, "I had my Mercedes dealer deliver an SL600 to her."

Melvin, the fourth said, "You know how Mama loved reading the Bible and you know she can't read anymore because she can't see very well. I met this preacher who told me about a parrot that can recite the entire bible. It took twenty preachers 12 years to teach him. I had to pledge to contribute $100,000 a year for twenty years to the church, but it was worth it. Mama just has to name the chapter and verse and the parrot will recite it." The other brothers were impressed.

After the holidays Mom sent out her Thank You notes.

She wrote: "Milton, the house you built is so huge I live in only one room, but I have to clean the whole house. Thanks anyway."

"Marvin, I am too old to travel. I stay home, I have my groceries delivered, so I never use the Mercedes. The thought was good. Thanks."

"Michael, you gave me an expensive theater with Dolby sound, it could hold 50 people, but all of my friends are dead, I've lost my hearing and I'm nearly blind. I'll never use it. Thank you for the gesture though."

"Dearest Melvin, you were the only son to have the good sense to give a little thought to your gift. The chicken was delicious. Thank you!"
